Team Games

Alternate Shot

Players are divided into two man teams. During play each player tees off but will alternatively hit their partners ball until the hole is made. Team score will be the total gross score for the two players.

Modified Alternate Shot

Players are divided into two man teams. Both players hit from the tee. Each player hits his partners drive. The best ball is chosen from the second shot and the player who didn't hit the best ball will hit the next (third) shot.  The other player will hit the next (fourth) shot and so on until the ball is holed. One score for the two man team will be recorded using the lower handicap of the pair for their net score.  Penalty points will not affect the order of play.
Note: If both players hit penalty shots from the tee. The penalties shall be recorded and the second shot will continue even though both players are lying 3 at that point.
Note: For a threesome, the single player without a partner will hit twice from the tee and each drive for a second shot before selecting the best ball to hit to the hole.

Ambrose Competition

This competition a scramble with a team handicap used to determine the winner for a team net score. The team handicap is determined by adding individual handicaps and dividing by twice the number of players on the team and rounded to nearest whole number.

Best 2 Man Team

This competition is match play based on 2 man teams. In a foursome, players pair off in two man teams. Each player plays his own ball but competition is based team holes won or lost for the round. Each hole single best score from one team compared with the single best score by the other team. Teams can win a hole, loose a hole or be even. Best score is asjusted base on handicap differential, so each player is compared with the lowest handicap player in the foursome and the difference is awarded in strokes on successively harder holes.

For a threesome, the playes must rotate the teams every six holes, so each player plays with a different partner for six consecutive holes. Each team competes based on the six holes it played.

Best 2 of 4

Each player plays his ball and the team with the lowest combined total of the two best net balls per hole will win the competition.
If there are only three in the group, a blind draw will be used to select a score to bring the number to four players.

Best 3 of 4

Each player plays his ball and the team with the lowest combined total of the three best net balls per hole will win the competition.
If there are only three in the group, a blind draw will be used to select a score to bring the number to four players.

Blue, Burgundy & Gold

Players will alternate between Blue, Burgundy and Gold tees. Everyone tees off and team will chose best drive. Every one will play their own ball from that point to the hole. Record the sum of two best net for the hole. There is no minimum number of drives. If there are only three in the group, a blind draw will be used to select a score to bring the number to four players.  Team with best combined score wins.
